MAURER vibration dampers protect structures from harmful oscillations regardless of their source — people, traffic, machinery, wind, rain, or earthquakes. Each damper is designed individually for the specific structure.
Type 01
Tuned Mass Dampers (TMD)

MAURER Tuned Mass Dampers (TMD) are available as spring-mass systems or pendulum systems. Spring stiffness and secondary mass are selected to achieve maximum counterbalance in the primary structure.
- Vertical, horizontal, or torsional oscillations are attenuated using a viscous damper
- Magneto-rheological fluid filling available for continuous adaptive control
- Pendulum systems up to ~300 kg with friction damping
- Service life exceeding 20 years; maintenance-free
Type 02
Standard TMD

An oscillating spring-mounted mass with a hydraulic damper for attenuating vertical vibrations in bridges and building floors. A suspended pendulum mass with a hydraulic damper is used for horizontal vibrations in flexible structures.
Type 03
Combined TMD

Nested pendulum masses with a hydraulic damper reduce the overall height of the damper unit — the optimal solution for high-rise buildings where vertical space is limited.
Type 04
Compact TMD

A compact version of the tuned mass damper for use in confined installation spaces. Delivers all the performance characteristics of a standard TMD in significantly smaller dimensions.
Type 05
Controlled TMD

An actively controlled tuned mass damper with a magneto-rheological damper. Damping parameters are adjusted in real time depending on the current vibration characteristics of the structure.
Type 06
Friction Dampers

Friction dampers for pendulum systems with small masses (up to ~300 kg). Damping forces are generated by friction between sliding plates — a simple and reliable solution for bridges and lightweight structures.
